There are several options very close to the World Cruise Center. The World Cruise Center offers a jumping point to itineraries of the Panama Canal, Hawaii, Mexico, and Pacific Ocean crossings to Asia and Australia. I generally would not book flights through the cruise line because we like to book online ourselves. However, you decide whatever works best for you and gives you peace of mind. If you are late for your ship leaving, your only option is to attempt to catch a flight to the next port and board the ship there. The Long Beach terminal has a lower passenger volume than San Pedro, but we had a great experience when we sailed.

Museums are great things to do on a rainy day because they offer indoor activities that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Many museums offer free admission or discounts on certain days of the week or during certain hours. Additionally, many museums have student, senior, and military discounts. Please note that cruise line schedules and routes can change, and new cruise lines may start operating from the port after my last update in September 2021. Los Angeles Cruise Terminal
You’ll be provided printable luggage tags when you confirmyour cruise. Don’t count on printservices at the port or in LA if you can avoid it. Trying to print your luggagetags and ticket information the day of takes time and energy better spent onthe cruise itself. There are several parking lots, but the parking lots in theimmediate area can fill up.

The good news is there are plenty of options within just a few minutes of the port. You can see a list and details of nearby hotels to the Long Beach cruise port here. As well, the terminal is right across from the city of Long Beach itself. For many people, they don’t have to worry about a ride to the port. Roughly 20 million people live in the greater Los Angeles area that includes Long Beach. That means many people are able to simply drive to the cruise ship.

There is no temporary luggage storage available at the terminal. Porters are available to take your luggage at the entrance of each berth.
The state-of-the-art buildings opened in 1950 and included the largest passenger/cargo terminal in the harbor. It is important to note that there is no car rental location directly at the Long Beach Cruise Port. Call whichever rental company to confirm if they do pickup or dropoff. Southern California has so many great beaches, that it would be hard to find a bad one!

Located at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro Bay, the terminal is just a 35-minute drive from downtown LA. Cruise lines calling here offer itineraries to Baja California, the Mexican Riviera, Hawaii, Alaska, the Panama Canal and beyond. There are also hotels in the area that offer cruise parking for guests. Stay a night and you can leave your car while you sail — for a reduced cost versus parking at the port. If you plan on staying in a hotel the night before your cruise, this deal can save you a nice chunk of change.
A complimentary shuttle to the Long Beach Cruise Terminal is included. Converted to a hotel, accommodation, and tours were available until the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020. The cost of maintenance and required repairs may ultimately lead to its permanent retirement. The dome-shaped structure provides embarkation, debarkation, and security services. The Port of Long Beach is used solely by Carnival Cruise Line, offering Mexican Riviera Cruises or short getaways to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico.
